KINGSTON – A City of Kingston man is in the Ulster County Jail without bail after his arrest on drug charges.
As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and transport of cocaine and heroin occurring at 41 Brewster Street in the city, officers in the Special Investigations Unit executed search warrants on two apartments at that location on April 28.
As a result, detectives seized approximately 8.5 ounces of cocaine, a small amount of heroin and two rifles.
Arturo Arias, 41, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of drug possession and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
SIU detectives were assisted by the Kingston Police Emergency Services Division, Uniformed Patrol Division, and Town of Ulster Police.
