Man wanted in Washingtonville home invasion, stabbing, arrested in New Jersey

GOSHEN – A New York City man wanted in connection with a January 30 home invasion and stabbing in Washingtonville was arrested in New Jersey.

It is alleged that Jamel McCaskill broke into a residence in the Village of Washingtonville and used a large kitchen knife to stab an individual.

McCaskill fled the scene and was at large.

Washingtonville Village and State Police investigated the incident and on April 20, his arrest was announced by Washingtonville Police Chief Brian Zaccaro and Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
