PLEASANT VALLEY – A domestic dispute in Pleasant Valley on Friday resulted in one man being stabbed several times and the suspect barricading himself in the residence.  Shaun Doxsey, 27, has been charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.

State Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Wilbur Road in Pleasant Valley on April 16 shortly after 2 pm.  The victim was outside of the residence being treated by medics from the Pleasant Valley Fire Department for multiple stab wounds.

The suspect, a relative of the victim, was barricaded in the residence and refused to come out.  State Police negotiators were able to convince Doxsey to surrender later that afternoon.  He was taken into custody without further incident.

Doxsey was arraigned before Judge Kozek in Pleasant Valley Court and released on his own recognizance pending a May court appearance.
