GOSHEN – Orange County lawmakers want to map out a future for the county’s Valley View nursing home in Goshen and a special committee will be looking into that.
Leading the effort is County Legislator Jimmy O’Donnell, who wants to explore future uses for the now-vacant Parry building on the campus.
“There have been different ideas kicked around – veterans’ housing, more type of senior care, but there is a lot that can be done there,” he said.
The county also wants to explore possible uses for land on the nursing home campus, including possible doctors’ offices and other healthcare-related facilities.
