KINGSTON – There are over 25 volunteer boards and commissions serving the City of Kingston and Mayor Steven Noble is urging residents to become involved with their city government.

Noble said several of those boards have vacancies at the present time and it would be a great way to serve their city.

“We have openings on everything from the planning board to the ethics to the police commission, heritage area commission, zoning board of appeals,” he said. “These are big-time commitments, we recognize, but it is one of the best ways to serve your city and get involved in the government.”

The mayor said application forms to apply for commission posts can be found on the city’s website.
