PORT JERVIS – Plans to annex two parcels of land from the Town of Deerpark into the City of Port Jervis will occur this fall.
Mayor Kelly Decker said the long-awaited annexation will bring with it economic benefits for the city.
“The Equity Homes property that is along I-84 will be for commercial use; they have some commercial entities already lined up to go into that property and the Dick’s Concrete area is a light industry and I think they have secured a few tenants there\,” he said.
Decker said development of both properties will mean jobs and taxes for Port Jervis.
