Court employee arrested for embezzling

MAMAKATING – A Wurtsboro woman, who worked in Mamakating Town Court, has been charged with the felonies of grand larceny, falsifying business records and tampering with public records.

It is alleged that Alyssa Fello, 30, stole over $3,000 in cash from the court over a six-month period. She was arrested following an investigation into missing funds from town court.

Fello was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
