MONTICELLO – The chairwoman of the Sullivan County Legislature’s Health Committee wants to examine staffing levels at the county’s Sunset Lake nursing home.

Nadia Rajsz has concerns about what she is hearing from family members of residents and others in the community.

“My concern is not only the quality of care, but the ratio of staff to residents, because if you don’t have the right staffing… I am not an administrator, I don’t claim to be one, I am not on the inside, I don’t know…,” she said.

Rajsz acknowledges that it is difficult to fill certain positions with qualified people, and that may be an issue.
