Tivoli grapples with two water main breaks

TIVOLI – The Village of Tivoli suffered two water main breaks on Tuesday.  It is rare for a municipality to have two such incidents on the same day.

The Village of Tivoli was grappling with two on Tuesday– one at Clay Hill and the other on Route 9G.

Those served by the Dutchess County Water and  Wastewater Authority were without water for hours with crews working diligently to repair the breaks, said Mayor Joel Griffith.
