MAMAKATING – The bridge carrying K-Line Bridge Road (County Road 166A) over State Route 17 in the Town of Mamakating will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, April 5, to accommodate a rehabilitation project. The closure is expected to last approximately four months, weather permitting.

Motorists should plan accordingly and follow posted detours.

Northbound motorists will follow State Route 17 eastbound to exit 113 (US-209/Kingston Ave.), to State Route 17 westbound exit 112 to return to K-Line Bridge Road northbound. Southbound traffic will be detoured to State Route 17 westbound to exit 110 (Wurtsboro Mountain Rd) where signs will direct traffic to State Route 17 eastbound to exit 112 which returns to K-Line Bridge Road southbound.

Variable message signs are posted to inform the traveling public of the closure.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
