GOSHEN – We have been hearing that each vile of COVID-19 vaccine has several doses and sometimes there may be a dose or two in addition to those that have been targeted for residents.

That happened in Orange County Thursday night so County Executive Steven Neuhaus did not want it to go to waste.

The county executive called several restaurants and owner of Delancy’s in Goshen, said he had a patron there who would take the shot if they brought it to him. So, Neuhaus brought the vaccine and equipment needed and Health Commissioner Irina Gelman administered the shot at the restaurant,

On Thursday, Orange County administered almost 2,700 shots at its Goshen point of distribution.
