Thruway traffic stop leads to seizure of 24 pounds of marijuana

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A State Police stop for a vehicle and traffic violation on the Thruway in the Town of Newburgh led to the arrest of a Utica man on a felony charge of possessing marijuana.

At about 3 a.m. on March 22, troopers pulled over a vehicle driven by Roqun Caban, 20, of Utica and found him in possession of 24 pounds of marijuana.

He was charged with felony possession and released with an appearance ticket returnable to town court at a later date.
