ALBANY – Ulster County lost 10.8 percent of its jobs in the 12-month period in February, the State Labor Department said.
Columbia County saw 10.4 percent of its jobs fizzle out.
The Orange-Rockland-Westchester Metro Area had a loss of 10.0 percent.
The Dutchess-Putnam Metropolitan Division reflected a 9.9 percent loss.
Sullivan County, which had the lowest unemployment rate in the state before the pandemic hit, registered a loss of 8.1 percent of its jobs.
With a 4.7 percent drop in jobs, Greene County had the lowest rate of lost jobs.
County-wide losses occurred in educational and health services (-23,700); leisure and hospitality (-22,300); trade, transportation and utilities (-10,700); other services (-7,800); natural resources, mining and construction (-4,000); financial activities (-3,99); professional and business services (-3,000; manufacturing (-2,900; and information (-1,700).
