Body recovered from Hudson in Vails Gate

NEW WINDSOR – A body was recovered from the Hudson River off Plum Point Park in the Vails Gate area Thursday evening.

Recovery teams were called to the scene around 6 p.m.

It was not immediately known if the person was the individual who recently jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge.

State Police are investigating.
