NEWBURGH – In the one year since the coronavirus pandemic struck, Orange Packaging has manufactured 70 million face shields and 12 million disposable gowns for healthcare workers.

The third-generation family business, which manufactures all forms of packaging and related products from its City if Newburgh facilities, is now manufacturing student plastic dividers for businesses and now, schools, said Michael Esposito, who runs the company with his brother, Anthony.

“Right now, we are supplying many different local school districts with the polycarbonate dividers as well as acrylic dividers; whatever they need,” he said.

The company is presently manufacturing desk dividers for Hyde Park, Highland Falls, and Red Hook school districts, and shortly, the Beacon City School District.
