Orangetown stabbing suspect turns himself in

ORANGEBURG – A man wanted in connection with a double stabbing during a fight in the Town of Orangetown on March 6, has turned himself into police.

Darin Peterson, 27, of West Haverstraw suspected of being in the New York City area, and on Monday, March 15, he turned himself into Orangetown Police.

He was charged with attempted murder and assault and was remanded to the Rockland County Jail.

Orangetown Police were assisted by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkstown, Ramapo and Haverstraw town police departments, State Police, Spring Valley Village Police, the Rockland DA’s Office, NYPD, State Parole, US Marshals Service and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
