HUDSON – Columbia County Clerk Holly Tanner has announced the building housing the County Clerk’s office and DMV was closed on Monday and will remain closed for the day on Tuesday as a result of a possible COVID exposure.

Tanner said the building at 560 Warren Street, which houses the Clerk’s offices, including DMV and the records room has been shut down for cleaning by the county until 9:00 am Wednesday, March 10.
Individuals that had an appointment for Monday or Tuesday should have received an email advising them of the closure and pointing out the need to reschedule their appointments.

People that had an appointment for Tuesday, March 9, can report to the office this Friday, March 12, with a copy of the email, to conduct their business.  The email from Tanner’s office needs to be shown on Friday for entry.
Tanner pointed out that her office has a dropbox outside of the building and customers are allowed to deposit their work in the container.  Customers using the depository must include their phone number so staffers can contact them when the work has been processed.
