Dutchess County to have a short-term mass vaccination site

POUGHKEEPSIE – A new short-term mass vaccination site that will utilize the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be established at Marist College in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

The site will be at 51 Fulton Street at the college.

On Friday, it will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; on Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The site will administer 3,500 vaccines. The state will partner with local medical providers in setting up the operations of the site.

Eligible New Yorkers are able to schedule appointments by using the state’s “Am I Eligible” website or by calling the state’s COVID-19 vaccination hotline at 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829).

There will also be a community-based pop-up vaccination site at Open Door Family Medical Center, 165 Main Street in Ossining. It will be open on March 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At the Hudson Central Firehouse, 77 North 7th Street there will be a pop-up center on March 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All appointments have already been filled.
