NEWBURGH – A 19-year-old Mount St. Mary College student has been charged with first-degree rape in connection with a sexual assault on the Newburgh city campus.
Anthony Pennachio of Brooklyn attended the Mount.
Police said the criminal investigation into the incident revealed the potential of additional victims that may have been sexually assaulted by Pennachio.
Anyone who has been victimized by Pennachio or if someone knows of an individual who was sexually assault by him, they are asked to call Newburgh City Police Detective Erik Eltz at 845-569-7560.
Police said the college has been completely cooperative throughout the investigation and continues to do so.
