TOWN OF NEWBURGH – The State Public Service Commission has deemed Danskammer Energy’s Article 10 project application to be complete.
As a result, a timeline for public hearings and other steps will move forward, said company Vice President of Public Affairs, Michelle Hook.
“We were sort of in this limbo period where the state, at their discretion could ask us for additional information and then we could supply it and there was no real timeline,” she said. “I think having the concrete timeline in place is quite positive for everyone involved because everything is concrete, and we sort of have some light at the end of the tunnel.”
Danskammer Energy wants to construct a new, more energy-efficient electric generating plant on the site of the old facility.
