Ulster Executive Patrick Ryan, right, chats with a resident who just received his first shot

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Senior Hub has administered 400 vaccines to residents with those over the age of 75 and having underlying health conditions receiving their first dose. Also, seniors without access to the internet were prioritized and assisted through the County Office for the Aging to ensure all senior residents have access to the vaccine. They can call 845-340-3456.

“Ulster County will continue to do everything within our power to ensure that the distribution of available vaccines is done in an equitable way and is reaching our senior residents,” County Executive Pat Ryan said. “We will continue to partner with the Ulster County Office for the Aging to ensure that we can bring the vaccine to our senior community in a quick and fair manner.”

Ryan has directed UCAT to provide free rides to those with transportation and vaccination appointments. Transportation appointments must be made 24-hours in advance, by calling (845) 334-8120 between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
