Communicated Content- As another snowstorm struck New Jersey Thursday and Friday, bringing a few more inches of snow, crews of public workers had to go out to clear the snow from the intersections and roadways.

But, the scenario is seemingly different when it comes to the sidewalks. From different Municipal areas of Hudson County, residents have criticized snow removal delays from the crosswalks and sidewalks areas, showing apprehension regarding accessibility and safety.

The Journal Square Community Association’s President Kevin Bing has regarded this matter as a safety issue first, rather than merely an issue of convenience. He has also mentioned that a pedestrian coming down to streets to walk correctly is never expected. Besides, there is an equity issue if anyone uses a stroller, wheelchair, or other mobility devices.

Usually, the responsibility of keeping the sidewalks clear and safe comes to the property possessors. However, rules encompassing this responsibility can be different based on locations and types of properties. Despite the fact, people across the county have taken the support of social media platforms and municipal meetings to report that many homeowners have chosen to avoid their duty. Hence, such a situation has arrived.

Being also mentioned, snow from many sidewalks with chain-linked fences isn’t getting cleared because of a few landowners and developers’ reluctance. And, this is never allowable as none of them are in inaccessible locations where nobody makes footsteps.

Aside from all these encumbrances, a note of assurance has been seen when the New Jersey community group Block By Block JC has been conducting snow shoveling events across the Journal Square and Heights. This community group was founded by Tom Zuppa, an attorney and Ward C council candidate.

In this regard, Zuppa mentioned that after the neighbors were concerned for the inconvenience and safety because of the recent snowstorms, they wanted to make the sideways accessible and safer for everyone from families with children to dwellers having issues in mobility.

Going here and there may be a little bit problematic in Hudson now, but that doesn’t mean gambling enthusiasts are just waiting to put a foot on a foot.  Because of the presence of quality internet connections and reliable online casinos like casino.netbet.com, gamblers from Hudson County don’t even need to wait for seconds to enjoy ultimate measures of online gambling. Cause they are wagering in all the games, they desire playing along with gaining lucrative bonus and promotional offers every then and now.

However, regarding the current issue of snow shoveling in the region, Zuppa has also added that most of the residents would appreciate the great work done by the public work department during the successive snowstorms. And, it is more applauding when it comes to comparison with other municipal areas of New Jersey.

The Jersey City’s Spokesperson Kim Wallace-Scalcione mentioned that apparently, the streets of New Jersey City could be considered among the bests. According to him, a few scattered complaints are completely normal after storms like these. He also mentioned that some areas require additional attention, and Public Works allocates people to conduct deeper cleaning-ups in those areas.

Roughly two feet of snow has covered the entire Hudson County after the snowstorms stuck successively on Thursday and Friday. Hence, the local government has also taken necessary measures to invest enough in dozens of plows, tons of salts, and other street cleaning equipment. However, some residents have reported that a bit of reluctance has been witnessed when cleaning up the snow from the sidewalks. Some have also asserted the government needs to enforce the rules on clean-ups more strictly to handle this situation.
