Sullivan County Fraud Task Force announces arrestd

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Fraud Task Force has announced eight arrests.

Richard Hodgson, 62, of Rock Hill, was charged with misuse of food stamps for allegedly stealing $964 in SNAP benefits by failing to disclose he was receiving income from employment.

Terry Kirkland, 55, of Baldwnsville, was charged with welfare fraud and offering a false instrument. It is alleged that he stole $5,351 in SNAP benefits by failing to disclose that both her husband and daughter were receiving income from employment.

Ollen Eck, 35, of Roscoe was arrested on an outstanding parole violation warrant issued for violating the conditions of his parole.

Kalya Schrader, 29, of Liberty, was charged with petit larceny after it was discovered she was wanted for an allegation of shoplifting from Walmart.

Nelse Batista, 32, of Loch Sheldake, was charged with being a fugitive from justice after it was discovereed that he was wanted by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office in New Jersey, for controlled dangerous substance.

Lioner Sanabria, Jr., 33, of Livingston Manor, was charged with criminal posession of stolen property and petit larceny. It is alleged he stole a debit card and used it to make purchases.

Maria Cruz, 34, of Monticello, was charged with grand larceny and offering a false instrument for filing. It is alleged she stole $9,320 in unemployment insurance benefits by filing a fraudulent applicatin for unemployment benefits.

Latoya Snowden-Whitley, 36, of Monticello, was charged with grand larceny and filing a false instrument for filing. She allegedly stole $26,486 in unemployment insurance benefits by filing a fraudulent application for benefits.
