Greenport man arrested as major drug trafficker

Drugs and cash seized during warrant search

GREENPORT – The State Police Troop K Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team has arrested a Greenport man for operating as a major trafficker and several counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance including one count with intent to sell.

Police arrested Michael Ramsey, 39, who was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.

Also arrested was Richard Moon, 53, also of Greenport, on a charge of felony conspiracy and a misdemeanor of drug possession. He was released on his own recognizance.

Police also executed a search warrant at a Greenport residence where they seized approximately 14.2 grams f fentanyl, 1122 grams of cocaine, 53.2 grams of crack-cocaine, 42.2 grams of heroin, and a large amount of cash.
