MIDDLETOWN – Middletown City Hall is now closed following a finance department employee testing positive for COVID-19. Mayor Joseph DeStefano said the finance office is close all together while all other employees are tested and into quarantine.

City Hall had been open by appointment, but for now, no one from the public will be allowed in. They may call by phone with inquiries.

“If someone is trying to pay a parking ticket or pay a bill that would result in a penalty, that will all be waived during period of time,” DeStefano said.

The mayor also said the senior center is closed and all transportation will be cancelled on a day-by-day basis, all as a precaution.
