KINGSTON – A man being processed into the Ulster County Jail was arrested for possessing prison contraband.

Detectives of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested Casey Kurtz, 28, of Kingston.

He was charged with several counts of the misdemeanor of promoting Prison contraband.

On January 14, while Kurtz was being processed into the Ulster County Jail, he was suspected of possessing contraband. The ensuing investigation alleges he possessed a quantity of Suboxone, marijuana, matches and a match striker, and tobacco.
