Spring Valley Police chief retires

SPRING VALLEY – Police Chief Paul Modica has retired from the Spring Valley Police Department after serving the community for 32 years.

The chief began his career with the village department in 1988 and moved up the ranks to sergeant, lieutenant and chief.

Modica “has down excellence and dedication not only to the members of this department but to the residents of Spring Valley,” a Facebook post read.
