KINGSTON – Mayor Steven Noble is proposing the development of affordable housing on two Kingston City locations to further ease the housing crunch in the region.

He will ask the common council to approve seeking developers for the Thomas Cornell Street parking lot and the Broadway Commons parking lot.

Noble has a plan to redevelop those parcels.

“As we market those sites and develop those sites that we work with our local development corporation to be able to do that in an efficient and robust way but make sure the current and existing uses of the sites,” said.

That means that parking would be retained in the Cornell Street lot and art and green space remain in the Broadway Commons parcel.
