SAUGERTIES – Police have a City of Kingston man in custody following his arrest stemming from a December 2019 burglary in the Village of Saugerties. DNA evidence secured during the investigation helped crack the case and lead to the arrest of Donovan Price, 26, of 36 McEntee Street in Kingston.

He was charged with the felonies of burglary and grand larceny.

The case began when a Saugerties village resident returned home from a trip on December 3, 2019 and found that someone had entered and burglarized their home while they were where away.

Detectives worked on the case for over a year and with a DNA match on evidence were able to charge Price.

He was remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail as a predicate felon.
