Mount Hope supervisor arrested on sex charges

OTISVILLE – State Police have arrested Chad Volpe, the Mount Hope town supervisor, following an investigation into alleged sex crimes.

The 47-year-old Otisville resident was charged with course of sexual conduct against a child, criminal sexual act, and sexual abuse, all as felonies.

The charges stem from the age of the victim at the time of the crimes.

Volpe was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

The State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation that led to Volpe’s arrest.
