ELLENVLLE – A 30-year-old Ellenville man, who was facing a state parole violation, has been arrested following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center into the assault of a two-year-old child in Napanoch.
The investigation revealed that Stephen Drake allegedly assaulted the child on several occasions casing multiple bruising to the child’s face, back, buttocks and both extremities.
On December 30, 2020, Drake was charged with felony assault and a misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child.
An order of protection was lodged on behalf of the victim.
The Child Advocacy Center also obtained a warrant for violation of parole by the State Department of Corrections, which has been lodged against Drake at the Ulster County Jail.
State Police and Village of Ellenville Police assisted in the investigation.
