Police investigate Main Street shooting

POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie are investigating a late-night shooting that sent one victim to the hospital on Wednesday night.

Police received reports of “shots fired” near China Express/Dollar Scoop around 11:11 p.m. on Wednesday. As officers were investigating, a victim with a gunshot wound walked into MidHudson Regional Hospital at approximately 11:28 p.m.
Sources told Mid-Hudson News that an unidentified shooter fired rounds into a group of three or four individuals and then fled the scene.
The victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries related to a gunshot wound to the leg.
