KINGSTON – A Kingston man was arrested Sunday evening for allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail into a Chinese restaurant.
Police were called to Hung Fu Restaurant at 694 Broadway at 7:50 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. As officers responded, they received a call of a fire at the same location.
Grant Shan, 36, was taken into custody after witnesses identified him as the person who threw the incendiary device into the eatery while he and others were inside.
The fire was extinguished quickly and there was minor damage to the interior.
No one was injured and the investigation is continuing.
