Six arrested in major Columbia County drug trafficking ring

PHILMONT – The State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, Wednesday, arrested six people involved in a drug trafficking ring in Columbia County.

Duhamel Johnson, 29, of Philmont, was charged criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal facilitation.

Jamar Johnson, 42, of Greenport, was charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession and conspiracy.

Rebecca Machado, 24, of Hudson, was charged with two counts of felony drug possession, and conspiracy.

Gregory Kelsey, 31, of Greenport was charged with felony drug possession and conspiracy.

Marcy Trow, 41, of Hudson, was charged with felony drug possession with intent to sell.

avon Simon, 30, of Rensselaer, was arrested for operating as a major trafficker, and four counts of felony drug possession.

Simon was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail. The five other defendants were arraigned and released on their own recognizance.
