Jumper reported off Bear Mountain Bridge

BEAR MOUNTAIN – A person is reported to have jumped off the Bear Mountain Bridge early Saturday morning.

The call came in over the emergency police and fire radio system at 4:15 a.m. of a “confirmed jumper” from the bridge that crosses the Hudson River between the Orange-Rockland County border on the west side and the Putnam-Westchester border on the east side.

Police marine units were dispatched to the scene.
