NEW CITY – Police are calling a double stabbing in New City Thursday night an attempted murder-suicide.
It happened shortly after 9 p.m. at 22 Zabella Drive.
Police on the scene confirm two people, believed to be a man and woman, were stabbed inside the home, but they did not say who stabbed whom.
Both were rushed to Montefiore Nyack Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The quiet street was lined with police cars as detectives pulled bags of evidence from the residence.
Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh and his staff were also on the scene.
