KINGSTON – Mayor Steven Noble has signed the Kingston City 2021 budget.

The $43 million spending plan includes no property tax increase and no layoffs.

The mayor is pleased with the overall document.

“It is always a good thing when we are able to produce that is passed unanimously by the Kingston Common Council, so while there were a few changes the common council made that I didn’t agree with, as a whole, the 2021 budget is going to provide us a major of the tools and resources that we need to move this city forward,” he said.

The budget includes about $1 million less in spending than the 2020 fiscal plan.
