Poughkeepsie mayor tests positive for COVID-19

POUGHKEEPSIE – Mayor Rob Rolison of Poughkeepsie has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in quarantine at his home.

The mayor was not feeling well last week, stayed home and got tested for the virus with the lab returning a positive reading.

“I’m feeling fine after a few days with aches and pains and a slight fever,” said Rolison. “The important message here is if you are not feeling well, please stay home and help stop the spread of this virus.”

The mayor intends to work from home the rest of this week and will follow health protocols. He hopes to return to city hall next week.
