Tivoli water system emergency conservation advisory

TIVOLI – The Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority is requesting that all of its water customers in the Tivoli Water District institute immediate measures to reduce water use until further notice.

On Wednesday, November 25, the Tivoli water system was experiencing low pressure due to a substantial leak in the system.

The water authority is asking the community to conserve water while the town operations team works to locate and repair the leak.

Water conservation measures including making sure all unused taps ae completely shut off; limit or postpone use of water intense appliances like dishwashers and washing machines; limiting or postponing backwashing of filters and water softener; postponing washing of vehicles; eliminating filling of pools; eliminating watering of awns; and eliminating any unnecessary water use.
