KINGSTON – Two people in a stolen car were caught and a third is on the loose after they bailed from a car that was reported stolen in the City of Kingston.

Around 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer spotted the 2015 Honda Civic on Flatbush Avenue; it had been reported stolen the day before.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver led them on a short chase from Farrelly Street onto Gage Street, out to Foxhall Avenue and then onto Derrenbacher Street where the occupants jumped from the car. The vehicle continued to travel a short distance until it crashed into a parked Kingston Police car, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The driver, Colleen Fisher, 18, was caught after a short foot chase. One of the passengers, Larry Santosky, 21, was caught a block away. A third occupant, a 19-year-old Kingston resident, is still being sought.

Fisher was charged with felony possession of stolen property and misdemeanor charges and traffic violations.

Santosky was charged on an outstanding misdemeanor bench warrant with criminal mischief.

Both Fisher and Santosky were released on appearance tickets.

Kingston Police were assisted by officers and K-9 from Ulster Police, State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
