Port Jervis community steps up to the plate for holidays

PORT JERVIS – The community in Port Jervis is helping those in need in the city during the holiday season.

The continued coronavirus is making the situation worse for many families.

On Friday, the Salvation Army Port Jervis Corps handed out 105 Thanksgiving food boxes to families. Officer Dooley spent the day with corps members helping to load the boxes into vehicles so they could be delivered.

The Port Jervis Police Department PBA with the assistance of ShopRite has donated turkeys to support the upcoming Easter Seals Community Outreach scheduled for Monday, November 23. Individuals ae suggested to arrive between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for a ticket.
