High-end car thefts in Dutchess County

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several high-end vehicle thefts.

The thefts have occurred mainly in the southeastern area of the county during the late night or early morning hours.

So far, the perpetrators have stolen vehicles that were either unlocked with the key fobs left inside and accessible or were running unattended.

The thefts are believed to be part of a large organized out-of-state crime ring and the perpetrators are to be considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators have no suspect description.
