KINGSTON – On the heels of the Ulster County Legislature approving some $137,000 to place the county-owned former Bank of America building at Tech City on its own circuit, lawmakers this week will take up spending more money to stabilize the facility.

Legislature Chairman David Donaldson said 60 percent of the building is expected to be leased to a New Paltz-based farm cooperative.

“It’s going to be local farm products. They will be producing foods that will be sustained throughout the Hudson Valley,” he said.

Donaldson said funding for the cooperative is coming from “really wealthy donors.”

The legislature will take up the building upgrades issue on Tuesday night.
