NEW ROCHELLE – A 17-year-old, who pulled a gun on and adult and child and threatened them in broad daylight, has been arrested and the weapon recovered.
New Rochelle Police said the incident occurred on November 9 just before 1 p.m. in the vicinity of Coligni Avenue and Mt. Joy Place.
The young man pulled a silver semi-automatic handgun and displayed it in a menacing fashion at the victims before fleeing as a passenger in a Jeep.
The suspect was stopped a short time later in a taxicab in Mount Vernon where he was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
The gun was recovered by Mount Vernon Police.
Due to the “rai9se the age” laws, the 17-year-old suspect was charged as a juvenile and will be adjudicated through family court.
