POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of vehicle break-ins in the towns of Pleasant Valley and LaGrange during the overnight hours.

Most of the targeted vehicles were parked unlocked in driveways, but some incidents involved car windows being broken to steal property.

The sheriff’s office reminds residents to lock their car doors and never leave valuables inside.

If residents have motion lights or exterior camera systems, make sure they work properly.

Persons who are victims or may have information about car thefts are urged to call the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office at 845-486-3800.
