WOODSTOCK – Ametek Rotron has completed its $2 million expansion in Woodstock, retaining 250 jobs and creating 15 new ones.

The project, which included construction of a new 15,000-square-foot facility, was supported by a state grant of $424,000 and $180,000 in performance-based Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits.

Ametek Rotron specializes in high-performance fans for defense and commercial aviation industries, working with companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Northrop Grumman, and other high-end electronic users.

“Investing in advanced manufacturing is vital to expanding the 21st century economy in the Mid-Hudson Region,” said SUNY New Paltz President Donald Christian, chairman of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council.

The company has a strong commitment to hiring a local workforce especially veterans and has partnerships with the Hudson Valley Council of Industry and local schools, including the Pathways Academy, a BOCES program.
