Newburgh shooting victim in critical condition

NEWBURGH – A man who was shot several times as he sat in a car in an area on Roe Street in the City of Newburgh Tuesday evening is reported in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.

Police were notified of a shooting at around 6:42 p.m. by the Shot Spotter program.

They found the victim, a man in his late 20s, sitting in a vehicle. He had been shot several times. Officers began life-saving measures and he was transported to a nearby hospital until he was transferred to Westchester Med.

Police withheld the victim’s name.

The incident is under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to call them at 84-561-3131.
