COLD SPRING – Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D, NY-18) declared victory early Wednesday morning.
The lawmaker said even with outstanding ballots, “it is clear that once they are counted our margin of victory will only increase.”
Maloney defeated Republican Chele Farley and SAM candidate Scott Smith.
“It is time to put partisan politics aside because there is so much work to do,” Maloney said. “As we recover from the health and economic crisis caused by the pandemic, I will work every day to deliver the relief Hudson Valley families and our communities need.”
Maloney also said he would continue his work “rebuilding our infrastructure, supporting our veterans and military families, and expanding access to health care.”
