NEW PALTZ – Police in New Paltz are investigating an armed robbery at about 2:50 Monday morning at Imperial Jewelers in the New Paltz Plaza.
Arriving officers spotted two armed masked robbers inside the store. They fled on foot.
A loaded handgun was recovered at the scene.
New Paltz Police were assisted by State Police, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, and SUNY New Paltz Police.
The investigation is being handled by the New Paltz Police Department’s Detective Division.
