GOSHEN – Of the 82 new COVID-19 cases reported in Orange County on Thursday, 14 percent were in the Town of Palm Tree while 12 percent each were reported in the cities of Middletown and Newburgh and towns of New Windsor and Warwick.

County Executive Steven Neuhaus condemned anti-Semitism stemming from the continued high count of positive cases in Palm Tree.

“For the most part, most people care about the basic things; they care about their families, they care about having a good future for their families, so, I don’t condone or support any type of discrimination,” he said.

The Palm Tree/Monroe area has been classified as a hotspot for the virus because of the numbers of positive cases in recent weeks.
